IT Helpdesk Specialist
Pay: $26.00 – $28.85 per hour

Position Summary
The IT Helpdesk Specialist is responsible for providing frontline technical support to employees across a growing organization. This role focuses on end-user support, device and account management, and consistent execution of IT processes. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works independently, and delivers professional, high-quality support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides Tier 1/Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and access issues via tickets, email, and chat
- Support Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, InTune), and Azure AD.
- Provides and manages user accounts, laptops, and mobile devices (including onboarding/offboarding).
- Assists with MFA, VPN, password resets, and basic security issues.
- Follows documented SOPs and contributes to improving helpdesk processes.
- Escalates issues appropriately and coordinates with vendors when needed.
- Maintains accurate documentation and asset records.
- Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
Job Requirements (Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
Required:
- 2 plus years in an IT helpdesk or desktop support role.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with ticketing systems and basic IT support workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) required.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment during East Coast business hours.
- Must be available to work after-hours to provide support as needed.
Desired:
- Experience with Intune or other MDM tools
- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, VPN concepts)
- IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft)
